On 26 June 2026, the RomaRise consortium organised an international online training to introduce the project's newly developed online learning materials. More than 30 participants from partner countries joined the webinar, representing youth organisations, community workers, project partners and young Roma participants.

The session presented the RomaRise Changemaker Toolkit - a practical framework built around four key competences that support active citizenship and community engagement: Know, Speak, Understand and Inspire. Rather than focusing only on the individual courses, the webinar explored the wider skills and attitudes needed by young people who wish to become active changemakers in their communities.

Participants were introduced to four self-paced online courses developed within the project:

  • General Knowledge on the European Union, helping learners better understand European institutions, rights and decision-making;
  • Debate, focusing on argumentation, public speaking and critical thinking;
  • Race, exploring the historical and philosophical foundations of race, identity and discrimination;
  • Inspirational Youth Leader Talks, presenting stories and experiences of young leaders from across Europe.

All learning materials are freely available through the RomaRise project and can be completed independently at each participant's own pace. https://zenodo.org/communities/romarise/records?q=&l=list&p=1&s=10&sort=newest

We thank everyone who joined the training and contributed to the discussion!
